Deep ruby-red core, but seems to have some age nothing blue-purple in there. Pure nose, slightly mineral, combing ripe fruit, with some stony mineral notes. There are plenty of dark fruits there, like cassis, plum, dark cherry. With some spicy notes of anise seed, liquorice, ripe herbs; like sage, a slight hint of mint. Discreet, but present wood. Really good grip there, it is a wine that is firmly built I would say. There is quite a lot of extract here. Finely balanced, finely tuned. Still present, but rather polished and grainy contributing to the mouthfeel. A very long finish, it keeps lingering. Quite layered here, with lots of dark fruits, shining through. There is a slightly herb infused cassis, with also some sweeter red fruit. Fine oak. Despite a high ripeness and richness, it is underlined by a fine level of acidity. Still I would call it very youthful, really a wine built for long ageing. I would happily drink it today after thirty minutes in the decanter, with a nice juicy piece of steak. Truly with a structure to go on for a long time. Very long, very good grip and high potential.
