Bright inky dark purple colour. Fragrant and floral nose displaying violet, blackberry, cassis, sage, bay leaf and cigar box. Ripe yet fresh sensation leading to a concentrated and muscular palate, still youthful but finely balanced with a fine extraction, grainy tannin and a gently spicy hint of oak. Very long and dense finish, no hard edges but should need a few years to soften and gain complexity, yet a fine exercise in both power and freshness.
