Argentina,
Mendoza,
Red wine with a medium towards deep ruby-red colour. With a slightly paler rim. Quite traditional nose here, in terms of it feels like it is a wine that has gotten a certain evolution in oak. There is a slight hint of wood there, with some spicy notes; some leafy notes like tobacco leaf, dried herbs. Quite distinct, I would say cabernet like, cassis, red currant fruitiness. With some lusher notes of plum, and a hint of wood. Quite generous palate there, with a lot of fruit. Quite sweet fruitiness there, with those ripe cassis notes, underlined by that herbal spiciness, some tobacco leaf. Not a lot of oak there. In terms of tannin there are quite fine. Still youthful, but I think overall the texture is rounded, and the wine is offering a nice drinkability with succulent fruit with an emphasis on those cassis, cherry notes. Medium towards long finish. Quite traditional style, not too pushed with a gentle extraction. And yeah - good drinkability today, but definitely a wine that could go on for another few years.
