Argentina,
Mendoza,
Really youthful and dark colour here. Generous fruitiness here, combining dark plum, blackberry with some pepper notes, slight hint of oak and vanilla. Polished texture here with anxious dark fruit. Some notes of dark chocolate, quite mellow tannin. The oak was not really noticeable on the nose, but is appearing a bit more on the taste with some notes of vanilla. Quite medium weight here, in terms of structure. I get a bit more tannin on the finish, not in a negative it is just behaving, showing its youth. But still ripe tannin, contributing to the length. It is a medium towards long finish, not bad in terms of persistence. It keeps lingering with black pepper infused dark fruit. So an attractive wine that drinks well now. It should probably gain a bit from a few more years in the cellar, but pretty okay already.
