Fontanavecchia – Vigna Cataratte Riserva – 2010

Dense dark ruby colour with a mature rim. Mature nose offering tobacco wild herbs, liquorice and dark berries. The palate is very dense and weighty starting to soften it feels, yet still with a high level of extract and tannin, plenty of wild herbs, tobacco, spicy notes and a long lingering finish. Very good and powerful, approaching drinkability today.
