Italy,
Abruzzo,
Quite dense ruby-red colour. Dense core, but still with a certain age. Losing a bit of colour on the rim. Quite intense nose. Generous fruit here, rather sweet fruit with mostly red berries and cherry. No noticeable oak, much more of a fruit forward expression. Yet it has some age and a slight complexity and slight spiciness. Good grip on the palate. A bit more than medium weight, with good extract. There is no harshness here, it feels like the extract is already well integrated. It gives a good lift on the palate. Acidity is also well integrated and balanced. A lot of juicy fruit is emerging on the palate. It does have a good length with beautiful cherry flavours and crushed berry fruit.
