Italy,
Trentino,
Youthful, quite bright with a medium-deep straw colour, slightly watery rim. Very nice nose, quite grapey, floral and aromatic; instantly brings my mind to something like a Traminer family - not maybe the spiciest of Gewurztraminer, but there’s a fine spiciness going on as well, then we have those quite lush tropical fruit flavours there, apricot, pineapple, yet with a good notion of purity and freshness. Good grip on the plate; it’s a quite lush texture, it’s quite broad, but it’s well underlined by this very fresh acidity, very crisp acidity. So it’s truly more of an aromatic grape from a cooler climate; it’s well-defined and gives a lot of pleasure. I like that very grapey and generous side, but it’s a good length, it keeps lingering, vibrant and long. There’s also a hint of nuance and complexity as well; there’s a lot of things going on there. A good wine.
