Italy,
Trentino,
Quite light colour, this is developed, light ruby-red with a slightly tawny rim. Very nice nose. Very elegant. Brings my mind to Pinot Noir. Of course showing that very elegant, subtle red fruit. Like raspberry, redcurrant, with those mild spices like pepper, cardamom, vanilla. No oakiness to talk about. A floral hint as well. A slight meatiness. Yeah, very elegant and feminine if you are allowed to say that. Medium weight on the palate, but with a good grip and flavour intensity. The nose felt quite developed with already layers and complexity. The palate feels a bit younger still a quite presence of tannin. I get a hint of citrus, zest and some ginger, which adds good spice, of course, some clove as well. It is perfectly drinkable it should just deserve some time to shed. Otherwise nicely layered with fruit, fine spiciness. Good length as well. So a darn good drink today and should only get better with some further ageing.
