Genium Celler – Excel lent – 2013

Dark purple inky colour. The nose offers dark ripe fruit, some aniseed and liquorice with dried herb, slightly oaky at the moment but should integrate. The palate has a very high concentration, youthful texture with firm tannin, layers of dark fruit like cassis and black cherry, although backed up by a vibrant freshness. Long and lingering finish with pure dark fruit. Powerful and pure, still a bit young with marked oak but should develop well.
