France,
Beaujolais,
The colour is light to medium ruby-red, still transparent. Very attractive nose, with plenty of fresh red fruit like raspberry, redcurrant. Some floral components such as rose petal. The palate is on the lighter side. Quite sleek structure. Really youthful with a good grip, good freshness. Well-preserved acidity giving a lift to that sweet red fruit. There is a slight hint of tannin, ripe tannin but still appearing a little bit youthful. Quite a persistent finish, with that red fruit. With the addition of some spiciness, some fresh pepper, ginger. A wine I would like to keep for another year for it to round off a little bit and gain some more complexity, but it should have really good potential.
