France,
Beaujolais,
The colour has a medium intensity, still appearing youthful with a hint of purple. Fresh nose, with primary fruit. No indication of oak here. Quite a mix of red and dark berries like dark plum, with cherry, crushed red berries. The palate is still fairly youthful, with young and zesty acidity. There is a slight presence of tannin, ripe tannin but they are still present. Quite mild spiciness on the finish with some notes of ginger, a mild pepperiness, with quite sweet and ripe fruit. So nicely rounded with that attractive youthful fruit. Should keep and develop over the coming years, but it offers a pretty nice drinking experience already.
