France,
Beaujolais,
Medium towards deep ruby-red core, slightly paler on the rim. Quite discreet nose, starts off slowly with some creamy notes, some hints of butter, vanilla, sweet plum and red fruit. No oak present. Palate is on the lighter side, it’s a soft style with a soft extraction, there’s some young tannin giving a lift, but it’s rather a very generous and fruity style, quite supple, with plum and juicy red fruit. Some notes of grapefruit and citrus. Light-weight towards medium, but still with that pretty good length, with attractive juicy red fruit on the finish. I’d call this a rather Burgundian style of wine, to enjoy in its youth, at a slightly lower temperature. Very refreshing style, digest, good drinkability, well-made for that light fruity fresh style.
