Italy,
Piedmont,
Quite light colour here. Fully transparent with a very light ruby core and orange rim. Attractive nose. It is showing some gently toasted notes. Hint of oak, roasted nuts, with floral component as well, rose petal and plenty of sweet red fruit. With a mild spiciness. Good grip on the palate. It has a lot of extract and tannin, but it is already displaying a lot of charm with the sweet fruitiness, juicy red berries. And I like that spiciness. There is some anise seed, ginger, orange peel, adding to the complexity. Really layered with a very long finish. I think this wine still appears quite youthful, but considering the style it is certainly something that will continue to develop for many years. I would happily drink already today.
