Italy,
Piedmont,
Red wine with a quite low colour intensity here, the nuance is rather towards brick orange. It’s a quite sweet perfume here of red berries, some floral notes almost like dried rose petals; also some herbal spiciness. Quite distinct palate here, high acidity, high tannin. Dried fruit character here, and I think the extract is more marked today than the actual fruitiness. No noticeable oak, doubtlessly a very traditional style here; a wine that requires long aging. It has a good length, but still with rather an emphasis on tannin and acidity. I think this is a wine with a potential, but it appears a bit on the austere side today, it should be put back in the cellar for another few years and it should develop well from there.
