Gran Clos del Priorat – Finca El Puig – 2011

Dark purple, almost opaque colour. Fragrant nose of ripe dark fruit with cassis, blackberry and cherry with some liquorice and aniseed notes. The palate has a very high concentration but modest extraction, grainy tannin, floral dark fruit with savoury qualities, a fresh backbone, and very long and grippy finish. A lush and bold wine but well balanced with great freshness.
