A modern profile with the density and the weight for a long ageing. This nose is showing typically dark fruit, dark plum, cassis, dark chocolate, some new oak in there, but the fruit is ripe and floral and really dominating. Wonderful density on the palate, still a rich concentration of tannin but finely integrated. There's a freshness and plenty of lingering flavours from that dark fruit, a slight toast coming from the oak. And the finish is really persistent, keeps lingering for quite a while and on the aftertaste we do get that finely spicy dark fruit with some tobacco leaf going on again. Perfect drinkability and great complexity.
