Australia,
Barossa Valley,
Medium deep ruby-red colour, slightly darker at the core, but it is starting to looe some colour on the rim. Quite intense nose. Displaying sweet fruit, particularly sweet red berries, sweet plum, red currant and some spicy notes, a slight hint of mint, some cedar wood and tobacco leaf. Palate has medium weight. Quite subtle in terms of texture, rounded, with attractive sweet fruit. Crushed red and dark berries with some of those herbal minty notes on the palate. Quite discreet wood as well, juicy freshness. Quite persistent finish, there is an approaching complexity, slight spiciness going-on, on the finish. Which is quite long lasting. I like the freshness and the digest qualities of this wine. Not really massive, but rather on the nuanced and layered side. Pretty elegant fruit.
