Switzerland,
Chablais,
Youthful pale colour, slightly straw yellow, bright. Fresh nose, rather on the mineral stony side than overt fruitiness. I get some hints here of ripe citrus, then some more stone fruit is emerging, some nutty notes like almond, hazelnut; but above all more of an earthy, mineral style. Good grip on the palate, it’s a wine which is marked not by acidity per se - it has rather mellow acidity - however it’s a bone-dry style, it has a slight tannic sensation which gives freshness. Good mouthfeel, volume; nice and rounded with a finish which gives an almost salty, mineral sensation. Good length persistence, pure and vibrant fruit; still very youthful, very accessible but with a good density and concentration for further aging.
