Portugal,
Alentejano,
Medium to deep, ruby-red colour. Still quite youthful. Fresh nose, fruit-forward. Offering some spicy notes with hints of pepper, freshly crushed berries. With red and dark berries, sweet plum. No indication of oak. Palate has medium weight. Quite high extract. Still with a presence of tannin. Quite sweet and rounded fruitiness. There is a bit more oak showing up on the palate. The fruitiness seems a little sweeter and rounder on the palate. Almost like jammed preserved fruit. Quite long and spicy finish. A generous wine that I think should get some more ageing, to shed its tannin and gain some more roundness.
