Bright dark purple core and a lighter rim. Pure nose - new oak, darker fruit, plum, cassis, pepper and clove. Dense palate, layers of ripe dark berries with a sweet spiciness, hint of oak, still a bit on the tannic side but well supported by the sweet fruit with a long and meaty finish.
