France,
Alsace,
Beautiful bright, medium-deep golden colour. Intense nose. I really think that this is one of those grapes that you can’t go wrong in a blind tasting it is very Gewurztraminer. Speaking about those rose petals with Middle East spices, with cardamom. With a lot of lush tropical fruit, yellow fruit, mirabelle, apricots and also some more of that dried spiciness like caraway, cumin and cardamom. Quite exotic. That is a beautiful palate. I think particularly for this variety. It is always best with a dash of sweetness to my taste. It is a quite high level of sweetness. This is probably more of what people would put in the dessert wine category. So very high and intense sweetness. Well-underlined by a good extract, that spiciness that adds freshness to the palate. Really bold lush with a very long and lingering finish. Truly and exotic wine. It presents itself really, really well today. But with this density and texture, it should go on for many, many years. However, I find it bloody delicious today.
