Dense core but more ruby towards the rim. It suggests some maturity with a complex spiciness, tobacco, fine oak, ripe plum and cassis notes. The palate is a dense medium weight with high extract, still a youthful phase beginning to integrate, dense and long with tobacco and dark fruit flavours with well-concealed oak. Still deserving some ageing but fine material.
