Jean Max Roger – Vieilles Vignes – 2016

Medium deep ruby red colour. The nose displays some new oak, liquorice, dry spices and ripe red fruit. The palate still appears youthful with a dense texture, some oak presence, fresh acidity, crushed red berries, plum and spice flavours with a slight tannic presence. good material and length, however a bit youthful still needing time in the cellar or a thourough aeration to open.
