Switzerland,
Valais,
Red wine with a moderately intense colour, ruby-red. It seems it has a certain evolution from the rim. Quite intense nose. Displaying some hints of roasted oak. Then we have a mix of red and dark berries and some spicy elements, almost like medicinal herbs. Good grip on the palate. It is fairly dense concentration of fruit, but the extract is well integrated already. So not a very tannic style more on the layers of juicy red and dark fruit. Balanced by a high acidity. There is still some oak present on the palate. I would talk about medium weight, yet with a good density so not the most opulent. It has a fairly long finish as well. I like the subtleness of the fruit. Really juicy, sweet fruit, yet it is a classically dry wine of course. Balanced by a fresh level of acidity. So good drinkability right now but with this density it is certainly a wine that should continue to develop for quite a long time.
