Argentina,
Mendoza,
Very intense colour here black-purple. Same goes for the nose this is very intense, there is a lot of everything in there. Plenty of oak, plenty of vanilla, plenty of dark fruit. Quite massive style I would say. It is still a very young wine that will need time to open up. With some further aeration of course you get some more nuance there. Fruitiness it is really like, bright, dark, black cherry, blackberry. Ripe but not overripe, however it has generous amounts of roasted flavours, of vanilla. Very high density and weight here, but in terms of extraction, I don't think it is harsh in anyway. There is fine tannin there. Quite supple actually in terms of texture. I just think that tastewise it will gain more nuance from some further aging. But on the finish, it actually gets a bit more layers with fine dried spices, like plum, pepper, plenty of dark fruit. Very long and ridged finish. So a youthful and potent wine to put back in the cellar.
