Light to medium deep colour, ruby-red. Fresh nose with a medium intensity. Good purity of fruit. Very gentle oak. With hints of mostly red berries, red cherry and mild spiciness. Slightly sweet hint of orange zest. Good density on the palate. Again a quite tannic style of variety here. Really mouth-filling with attractive red fruit like cranberry, cherry. Plenty of tannin, but certainly a style, certainly a variety that needs a few years to shed those tannins. I still like it a lot, it does have length and a natural freshness. Nicely vinified with good integration of oak with a long finish. Should definitely have a fine potential for further cellaring.
