Greece,
Macedonia,
Medium deep, ruby-red colour. Slight hint of evolution, but looks fairly youthful. Pure nose. Still quite young with mostly primary fruit here. Combination of red and dark berries, with cherry, plum, some dried spices. Palate has medium weight with a quite dense tannic core. So a lot of tannins in here, but I think that is part of the style. It is not really harsh, it is still just showing its youth with that tannic presence. On top of that, we do have attractive fruit with red and dark berries. There are some hints of chocolate, like praline spices. Quite traditional style. There is no indication of new oak. There is a good length. I should rather say this is a traditional grape variety, but in terms of vinification, it still feels modern with a good purity of fruit. It should certainly have a fine potential.
