Dense purple core. Pure nose, fragrant notes of cassis, crushed berries, damp tobacco and fine oak. The palate is dense and structured, still a youthful tannic bite but no hard edges and fine layers of fresh dark fruit, savoury and long finish with fine spices, balanced oak and cassis flavours. Should improve from further ageing.
