Intense dark core with a lighter rim. Spicy and gamey nose (some brett), ripe dark fruit, cassis, liquorice, pepper and dried herbs. The palate is ample and dense, yet a bit on the extracted side with firm tannin and present wood, leathery and leafy flavours with discreet fruit and a long but restrained finish. A bit on the rustic side.
