La Maison Dominici – L’Instant – 1972

Dense ruby core with a mature tawny orange rim. The nose is mature, developed and complex with sweet dried fruit like prune, dates figs paired with black truffle, smoked meat, tobacco and leather. The palate has both a vibrant freshness with a youthful bite and grainy powdery tannin, yet combined with the decadent sweet fruit, the spicy and secondary flavours with meat, smoke and truffle. Impressively well-preserved with a great deal of complexity, drinkability and a long, nuanced finish.
