Argentina,
Mendoza,
Red wine with a quite intense colour here, with a blue-purple core, slightly more ruby toward the rim. Fine nose here. There is some nice layers in there, combining red and dark fruit. There is some floral notes like violet, then there is a fine spiciness with clove, ginger, black pepper, slight hint of vanilla. Good weight on the palate here. I like this combination of juicy, really straight forward fruit. Pleasurable in that sense. Rather soft extraction. There is a fine backbone of quiet grainy tannin. Oak is not really noticeable. It is multi-layered so I think we get both that fresher red fruit and slightly riper dark fruit, with those dried spices. Quite long finish, with sweet spices, like plum and some peppery notes. Well balanced. Showing off a really nice drinkability today and should probably develop more complexity from further cellaring.
