Dense dark core. Smoky and meaty nose of dark fruit with some roasted notes, tar, plum and liquorice. The palate is dense and full with a rounded texture, fine tannin and a fresh backbone, some hints of smoked meat, blackberry and plum with ground pepper and mild spices. Good length and freshness, meaty and weighty yet with good drinkability and modest oak.
