Italy,
Abruzzo,
Colour has medium deep ruby-red core. A bit of age towards the rim. The nose is pure. Displaying a gentle hint of oak. Combining red and dark fruits. With mainly red and black cherry. Good grip on the palate. It is a medium weight, but both tannin and acidity feels quite elevated. There are some spicy notes emerging on the palate, some dried spices, leather. A little hint of oak as well. Slight touch of vanilla. Medium towards long finish. It feels like a wine that is approaching maturity. It is not very old but it has gotten some more nuance and layers from some ageing. Just a hint of dryness on the finish in terms of tannin. But it should continue to develop over the few coming years.
