Lacourte Godbillon – Les Chaillots – 2012

Bright light golden colour with a young creamy mousse. Some oak on the nose, roasted notes, vanilla, ripe yellow fruit, mango and butter. The palate is bone dry, rather Extra Brut, still with some oak presence, roasted nuts, fresh yellow fruit, candied citrus, mild creaminess and very bright acidity, it has very good length and persistency. Still a bit youthful and restrained but I like it, certainly an ambitious style needing time, so put it back in the cellar and wait.
