France,
Burgundy,
Light towards medium deep ruby red colour, still youthful with a hint of purple. Quite intense nose, some new oak, white pepper, some notes of leather. Juicy fruit on the palate, quite light weight with soft red berry fruit, strawberry, red cherry. Some spicy notes of ginger and orange zest. There’s some animal, leather notes on the palate as well. Youthful and vibrant acidity, rather mild tannins, no noticeable new oak. Quite persistent on the palate, it keeps lingering for a while but still a bit unresolved. Definitely a wine with a potential for development, and I would put it away for another 2 years before drinking it.
