Laurent Benard – Vibrato – 2012

Light to medium deep golden colour with a youthful creamy mousseux. Generous nose with ample fruit, red berries, floral notes and plum, rather Meunier-like with a hint of oak. Medium bodied with a creamy texture, bone dry with some nuttiness, slightly Sherry-like with salty nuts, a hint of oak and darker fruit notes, and a quite long finish. Individual style quite far stylistically from a classic blend. Ambitious but a bit rustic.
