France,
Champagne,
Medium intense, golden colour, certain evolution, still with a rather youthful mousse. Fine nose here, a good ripeness, with hints of ripe lemon, grapefruit, pear, yellow plum. Certain maturity there, still not highly developed, but there is still some creaminess from the lees aging; some butter, some brioche. Good gripe on the palate here, medium weight, but it has a good flavour intensity here, more of a vinous style. Good dryness as well, not a lot of dosage noticeable. The acidity is really present, but I think it is well rounded and finely integrated. Still youthful and vital, but it has reached a first stage of maturity, where all the parts are integrated. Has a quite fine persistence here, keeps lingering. Well balanced. Certainly with a potential for further ageing, but in my mind, for good drinking today.
