Red wine with a fine developed colour here, it’s medium-ruby but towards the rim brick-tawny, there could be quite some age to this one. On the nose it still appears a bit younger, it has evolution and a level of complexity with dry spices, leather, walnuts; a slightly dried fruit character, like dried cherry, dried plum. Good grip on the palate; it’s certainly a full-bodied style, and today I think this wine appears rather youthful with high extract, it’s still quite marked by that tannic core, it has elevated levels of acidity as well. Fruit is there, nicely rounded red fruit like Roséhip - I get a lot of that zesty fresh Roséhip. Good length, long and lingering with just a hint of aging in wood noticeable. It’s quality wine obviously with a certain structure; still something I would like to put back in my cellar, I think it would just gain more nuance and complexity from some further aging. But good material here in terms of balance, in terms of structure and in terms of length; so very good wine.
