Italy,
Tuscany,
Red wine with a light to medium intense slight ruby core, and slightly orange on the rim; high viscosity, high ripeness. The nose is far from primary fruit, it’s rather dried berries, dried fruit, plum, leather, tobacco, walnut, a hint of oak. A traditional style that has got a long aging in oak, obviously. Bone-dry palate, still in a youthful stage with marked tannin. It’s much more than medium-weight but it’s not the most bold or opulent either. It’s well underlined by a fresh acidity, with a rather red fruity character there like red bitter cherry, some leather, cedar wood. Well-made, with a doubtlessly long finish; still however I think this is a wine that would need some more time to open up and to gain aromatic complexity and a rounded texture - but a promising wine for sure.
