Dark core with a purple hue and lighter rim. Some new oak, sweet and cooked fruit notes with dry spices. Dense and concentrated palate, a bit on the extracted side with present oak, sweet fruit flavours and rigid tannin, rather long but a bit muted by oak and tannin.
