Intense deep colour, still a rather black centre with a purple tinge. Very youthful. Intense and modern nose, combining ripe dark fruit, black berry, cassis; there’s oak in here, we get some notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, and sweet spices. High degree of ripeness. The palate is quite intense with a good core, dense core of dark fruit, but it’s still however what I would call youthful. Tannins are still rather present on the palate, they keep biting on the palate. The oak is quite intense with some roasted flavours. Despite the ripeness, we have a good dose of freshness here, we have a long finish. I think this is a wine with a fine potential, I would still call it too early to drink, because the tannins are marked, the oak is marked, but this is a wine made for aging. This could probably be kept for a lot of years; but I think for sure it would open up over the coming two years, and should drink really well.
