France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Very youthful colour here. Really nothing red so far, rather blue-purple, so it looks really young. On the nose also indicates a lot of youth. Really like fresh berries there is a slight hint of roasted oak and attractive dark fruit. High degree of ripeness here, so violet with cassis, dark cherry, almost like a cherry liquor. Very attractive fruit here. Really like purple dark berry fruit, but with a really well-preserved acidity. The tannins already feel rounded despite its youth. There is a slight presence of wood, a slight hint of vanilla but really a fine expression of that juicy primary fruit. Well-rounded good levels of acidity. Really mouth-watering on the finish. Quite long, persistent. Still a very youthful example. I take great pleasure in drinking it now but it should certainly develop a bit more layers and nuance over the coming two to three years. Then it should keep for longer than that as well.
