France,
Languedoc Roussillon,
Deep red wine with a quite intense, almost impenetrable dark purple colour; even the rim has a quite intense colour. It looks very youthful without signs of development. The nose confirms, it’s clean but in a very youthful phase. Pure and fruity aromas, not marked by any hints of oak. We have rather notes of freshly crushed berries, plum. Nice grip on the palate, it’s a wine with a rather high ripeness of fruit, in a medium-bodied style. Tannins are quite soft and settled. It feels like a warm style, but the alcohol is well integrated too, and I think the freshness is well-preserved. Young fruit, and it feels like a soft maceration, with a nice mixture of red and dark fruit. We have some notes of herbal spiciness, and once again the oak is absent so it’s a nice medium towards full-bodied wine, but with a soft texture; it’s already now drinking quite nicely. Finish is towards the medium-long, a bit more than medium-long because it’s leaving some nice juicy fruit on the palate in the finish. Well-made, should develop over the next 2 to 3 years, but could easily be enjoyed today.
