Dark core with a purple hue and lighter rim. Some new oak-derived spiciness, butterscotch, freshly crushed red and dark berries, pepper, and clove. Dense palate, layers of spicy dark fruit, some meaty notes with a support of grainy tannin and a balanced acidity, long and lingering finish with garrigue and pepper.
