France,
Champagne,
Youthful pale straw colour with a creamy mousse. The nose is still youthful but nicely layered with ripe pear, citrus, plum and fresh butter. The palate has more weight and volume than the nose indicates, fine extract (really mild tannins well-integrated) flavours of pink grapefruit, sweet pear, candied citrus and a healthy dose of acidity with creamy mousse, some autolytic notes of butter and pastry with a long grippy finish. Still youthful but good stuffing.
