Medium to deep ruby colour with a mature rim. Intense nose, traditional style with some leathery/animal notes and layers of dark fruit, cassis, plum and spice box. The palate is dense with high but ripe tannin, a bit tight today, yet with nice layers of ripe dark fruit, some traditional spicy leather notes but well assembled in a traditional style requiring long ageing. Long and dense finish, should last for a long time.
