Maison Bouachon – La Tiare du Pape – 2013
Châteauneuf du Pape

France,
Rhone Valley,
Good brightness here, medium deep ruby-red, appearing fairly youthful. Good purity on the nose here. Showing mostly primary fruit. Quite a lot of dark plum, with red berries. Some fresh herbs. Slight spiciness so like orange peel, candied orange peel. The palate has medium weight with good generosity of fruit. Still appearing quite youthful, so really with flavours of freshly crushed berries like cherry and plum. Mild spiciness with some pepper, fresh herbs and a fairly long aftertaste. Well-balanced with a good juiciness and drinkability today.
