Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Very inky core here, purple-black. The nose is pure. Quite intense with floral and dark fruity notes. Some violet, rose petal, with cassis, dark cherry. A quite subtle spiciness; like some clove, pepper, tobacco leaf. Good bite on the palate. It is a wine with a bit more than medium weight I would say. Well retained freshness. Still with a tannic presence, appears slightly youthful. Quite elegant and floral, dark fruit. Keeping within this medium weight structure. Very good freshness. Long and lingering finish. I would call this a wine that is high quality, but still a bit young. It should certainly deserve another one to two years before drinking it in a good cellar. To soften the tannins a little bit and to develop a bit more nuance and harmony. Good potential, though.
