Chile,
Colchagua Valley,
Intense black-purple core, slightly lighter towards the rim. Intense nose, with a hint of complexity here. Quite multi-layered, with a lot of dark fruit, cassis, blackberry. Finely spicy notes, like pepper, plum, ginger. A slight hint of oak. A hint of smokiness. A hint of meatiness. Very nice palate here. High density of fruit. Good grip, good concentration. With purple dark fruit. Topped with those spicy, peppery notes. High extract, really polished tannin here. I think it is a wine that is just about to, start to open up. There is complexity, it is really multi-layered, balanced by a quite bright acidity backing up that dark fruit. Long finish and really well-integrated oak. Starting to display a certain level of complexity. This is doubtlessly a wine that drinks well now, but it should develop even more, in another five, six, seven, eight years, depending on what type of wine you like. So a very fine example.
