Marchesi Antinori – Tignanello – 2021

A still youthful purple core being more garnet towards the rim. Lovely purity and nuance, multi-layered with a fine hint of oak-derived spiciness, ripe cherry, red berries, sage, tobacco, dry spices, and some floral hints. The palate shows density and concentration, yet the texture is rounded and grainy giving sense of lightness, a vivid acidity underneath, ripe, yet not sweet fruit, crushed cherry and cassis flavours, with a very long and savoury finish.
